written by Rainbow Rowell, the story is built around Eleanor and Park. Eleanor comes from a troubled family, her bright red hair is one of her finest feature. Park is super cool Asian boy, has hang on Martial arts. The two bond over music and comics. Through out the story Eleanor fights through bullying and Park stands by her. This novel is bound to remind the high school romances you encountered. But the ending of the book really captivated me. Some people are not happy about it but for me, it's like the left the blank spaces so I could fill in my share of imagination and bring the end that I want for the story.. 😄
Hi there! I am soumya, I like books and scribbling random stuff..sometimes I stay up late and read or do embroidery! And some other time I do total opposite things like riding my dad's motor bike at 80 km/hr. Most of the times you can see me sipping coffee or working in my garden. My big dog always keeps me company. I also enjoy long walks with him. Here's a little journal of my scribbling. I would be very happy if you leave a comment after reading🙂 Happy reading :)

Hola readers!!
Greetings from Soumya Manvi, happy holidays, with new year celebrations around the corner I can imagine how busy and happy you must be preparing family dinners and hosting your guests. As of me, we don't do these celebrations at my place. but I happened to have studied in a convent, so my Christian friends share their celebration with me. I go the Church with my friends and light up candles and make sure my greetings reach to all my dear ones. my pen pals all send me Christmas cards and I always love to imagine what a wonderful time everybody must be having around baking cookies, setting up the Christmas tree, wrapping gifts for their loved ones and so on.. I have got a new job and it is keeping me quite busy..but amidst that i have been using instagram and I come across these beautiful books and coffee pictures.. and i just want to share them with you...

My first harvest
Hello readers,
remember reading about my old posts? where i used to keep writing about my gardening hobby? well guess what? I recently harvested ginger for the first time. though i actually hate eating ginger lol... well basically it was my moms idea.. what happened practically was, we planted some raw ginger in some plantation pots and forgot about it. you know the ginger shoots take a really take a long time to shoot up. like literally a month. so after few days like for a month or so the shoots came and then i remembered i had planted ginger and we waited for few more months and then came up thick shoots of ginger. which kind of looked that they were ready to be harvested. and then i pulled up the shoots and out came beautiful ginger so fresh and fragrant. my mother loved it so much that she prepared ginger tea. it was nice to have it on a rainy evening. i tell you guys do develop the hobby of gardening it is a simple art that teaches you patience and discipline the rewards are numerous like satisfaction and harvest, if you guys ever try out some thing do tell me about it. i would be so thrilled to know your experience.

Best novels for beginners to read
A lot of people have been asking me, which novels are best to begin with. I suggest little women for most of the people irrespective of their age and gender. But recently I have been pondering over that thought a lot and i have come up with some good books for the beginners to cultivate the habit of reading. I hope you readers agree with my suggested book list.
1. Little Women
Set in 18th century of America, this story is of four girls Meg, Beth, Jo and Amy. along with the main character Teddy.

2. Robinson Crusoe
1. Little Women

2. Robinson Crusoe
the book is presented as an autobiography of the title character (whose birth name is Robinson Kreutznaer)—a castaway who spends 28 years on a remote tropical desert island near Trinidad, encountering cannibals, captives, and mutineers, before ultimately being rescued. The story has been thought to be based on the life of Alexander Selkirk, a Scottish castaway who lived for four years on a Pacific island called "Más a Tierra", now part of Chile, which was renamed Robinson Crusoe Island in 1966.

3. The night ferry
This is a investigation thriller written by Danish authors Lotte and Sherman Hammer. where detective Konard Simon investigates a case where fourteen people are murdered on a canal boat.
4. Famous five
This book is one of my personal favourites. though these series of 21 books are suggested for twelve year old i encourage people to read it. the adventures of Julian, Dick, gorge, Anne and Timmy the dog are so fascinating.

A beautiful flock song.
So, I happened to hear this song in my childhood. It is in Kannada, Which is the state language of Karnataka and Karnataka is a state in India. It is written and sung in north Karnataka style. The origin of the song is unknown. But it was used for a T.V series called Mudala Mane. Which roughly translates to, East-side house. The lyrics describe, how the shadows play on the walls of the house and in the end they invite strangers into the house saying they are family too. I personally don't exactly know what the song means. but I have tried to jot down each stanza and its meaning. there is a link which takes you to the you-tube channel, I hope you readers enjoy it ☺️

The song lyrics and its meaning.
first stanza-
Haadi beediyalla tampa nerala, soonki....
rembi kombi ya melya gud kattidava rekki balita hakki
goodi naaga maligyava mari hakki...
doora deshada valasida hakkigu iti jaga olaga
banniri, neevu namma balaga.
Meaning-
Let the roads and the streets absorb the cool shadow
birds have built the nests on the branches of the trees
and little birds are sleeping in them
we have place for the migrated birds too
come in, you are our family too.
Second stanza-
Haleya bhaviya talda neerinaga hasira chigurtava...
haleya bhaviya talada neerinaga hasira chigurtava

Meaning-

and they playing karaga...

Meaning-
the shadows of the leaves from the trees are playing games on the walls of the house
and they are depicting a play of leather puppets .
