A motivational playlist

Feeling down in the dumps for some reason? Dull sprites or feeling like you have hit the rock bottom? yeah, been there few times. Some times you cant even explain those reasons. I personally think the best way to get out of it is to do all those things you love to do. like gardening. Just get your gloves on and the spades out and go out in the garden and start working you feel so much better when you naturally sweat. Or take your dear pet out for a walk or just go and simply hug your mom.. :) She'll know the best remedy for you. If you feel nothing is working out. Just get your phone and your earphones and find a quite place, close your eyes and play these beautiful songs. And witness the magic of music yourself :)

1. Someone special by Coldplay ft Miracles

Cold-pay is such a beautiful healer. His songs have the capacity of healing any heartbroken soul. Among his wide variety of healing songs. Someone special stands out. All the lyrics are beautifully stringed and are accompanied with beautiful melody. Big Sean raps a verse in between which is so meaningful, it goes something like, I trusted statistics more than me, Get a degree, get a job 41K but I am trying to turn K's into M. And then further down the song Chris says don't go to war with yourself, just turn it on.

2. The climb by Miley Cyrus

this song is a powerful ballad, where Miley embraces falling down. and confesses how she is lost and and the cruel voice in head is saying you cant make it. But then powerfully narrates how she is getting up and pushing on. and she says she will fight that uphill Battle and make it to the top. the chorus will sure lift your sprites.

"There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

3. Fight song by Rachel Platten

Its another song that describes how one has been unsuccessful and still wants to fight. and light up the fire inside. Rachel sings comparing herself with the small boat out in the ocean, big waves and motion. Its helps you to understand that you are not alone and gives the spirit to fight back and stand up.

4. Mean by Taylor swift

This beautiful country song has so many levels, its an anthem against bullies. Taylor actually wrote this song about a mean critic who was way too harsh about her. And it won two grammy. this song soothes you and gives you a hope of living in a big city one day and all those pathetic people will always be mean. drunk and talking about a football game alone in the bar. this is must hear song to stand up against mean people

5. Roar by Katy Perry

Katy describes how she lost her control and made the boat a mess. how she let someone push her past the breaking point and loosing everything because she did not stand up for anything. But then later in the song she tells how she picked up and dusted off her dirt and realises shes got fire like tiger and also she is a champion.

scribbled thoughts

Last night while preparing for exams, I scribbled few lines in my little notebook about a brave girl who is delicate and brave. I didn't have anybody in my mind while writing this but yet i scribbled it. here are those few lines.

As calm as the Kali river
As fierce as the lightning bolt
As tender as the morning shine
As delicate as a flower petal
As strong as a Promise
As humble as monk
She is everything
the star and the souvenir

P.S: Kali river is a river in Karnataka named after the Hindu goddess of the same name. This river is calm, wide and beautiful.

good times

We have already dived into the sixth month of the year, and i have already got good things piled up to share. these years have been like warm sunshine on a green meadow, pleasant and beautiful. It was all about catching up with lost contacts. we connected over social media and we are keeping in touch. its beautiful how unexpected friendships bring so much joy. i am on the verge of completing my studies. instead of brooding over the end i decided to make a list of all my happy things. here are few that i intended to share.

* remember i posted about my gardening hobby? well my plants are basking in sun and bathing in the powerful monsoons. In my place, May is the month of flowers blooming. and not even a single plant disappointed me. they gave pretty flowers. And i finally planted my favourite white bougainvillea it has come up really well.

*i really made a lot of friends this year. Not only that! we hung out, laughed and shared or stories. we drank coffee together, went to malls and movies. it was great to hang around in college when classes were not scheduled.

* I completed my project work and assignment work on time, which is such a great relief. I hope I do my viva real fine :) ( fingers crossed)

* For the first time in my life I participated and won an on line contest for writing about my favourite Investigation thriller, As a prize I won A novel called "Midnight ferry" (which is also an investigation thriller). I had never felt that excited and happy about something before. they even sent me a little broach for that.

* And more importantly I started a new hobby called post crossing and I sent my first post card to Germany and received one from Taiwan.

* I finally met up with my Junior-friend Sharadha on a movie date. she is such a super cute and sweet girl. and we both are so like minded. I enjoy her company a lot.

* I became friends with a techie after accidentally bumping into each other at the hall way, we spent so much time together sitting on the stairs and talking about random things. too bad we couldn't make dinner plans.

* I was about to delete this blog, but an anonymous comment me going. thank you anonymous. <3

these are somethings that kept up my sprites in this half of the year, hope I find yet more beautiful things to share :)

A new hobby

Image result for postcrossing

Hi,

From this summer i started a new hobby, "Post crossing", Its a beautiful thing where the website gives you random postal address and you visit their profile and choose a Post card according to their likings. the first postcard I got was a girl from Taiwan. She sent me beautiful postcard with bougainvillea flowers with a beautiful hand written note. I was not sure of this hobby like weather to continue this hobby or not. Because its quite expensive. but when i got postcard i felt so excited that i was sure to continue it. And the first one I sent out was a fort postcard to a girl from Germany who was curious about cities and forts. After that i am sending out postcards to Germany (again), USA, China and Russia. I also updated my profile regarding my preferences. I hope my mail box will have interesting postcards :)

funny puns

 Trying to be a  "Pun-dit" 🤣
If you know what i mean ;)

Choo Choo!
My boss yelled at me the other day, “You’ve got to be the worst train driver in history. How many trains did you derail last year?”
I said, “Can’t say for sure, it’s so hard to keep track!”

Oh, Man!
A man sued an airline company after it lost his luggage. Sadly, he lost his case.
Just Can’t Trust ‘Em
Atoms are untrustworthy little critters. They make up everything!

This Is Intense
The past, the present, and the future walk into a bar…
It was tense.
Atomically Lost
An atom loses an electron… it says, “Man, I really gotta keep an ion them.”

RIP
Did you hear about the man who was accidentally buried alive?  It was a grave mistake.

Waste of Time
I had to clean out my spice rack and found everything was too old and had to be thrown out.  What a waste of thyme.

The Very Best Time, Hands Down
6:30 is the best time on a clock… hands down.

so much more..

I am not much of a gardening pro, mom and dad were the ones who were really interested, of all the places we had mom did an awesome job of planting so many trees, she spent the evenings in the garden and nurtured the gooseberry trees, coconut trees, pomegranate trees, chikku trees, and many more, we had a helper called noor who used to help us in the garden and take care of our dog. so it was really beautiful to see it. we were really able to maintain the lawn and flower bed properly. after some years mom became very busy indoors and only came to water the plants, our helper died of old age and to me our beautiful garden started to look like jungle, there were these huge badam trees that spread branches across the garden soaking all the sunlight and shading the pots underneath, the weeds grew the flowers died, so it was only shades of green...and while sipping tea in the sit out i had that sudden urge of trying things out in garden. And while i traveled different cities i became obsessed  with bougainvillea flowers specially the white ones that looked like giant bunches of white roses.. after spending few of my summer days at my Gran's place i was determined to set our garden straight. and after coming back to my place, I kept an eye out for plants. during my morning walk i finally found my favourite plant bougainvillea and brought little cuttings, i put them in a little earthen pot and watered them daily...but they disappointed me..not even a little leaf shot up to tell me Hey!! this twig is alive..don't you give up hope.. i waited months...but no..they dried up..i was disappointed, but prepared to face them. once i went drop my friend to her place and i saw another bougainvillea tree!(at a corner, not on any-body's property) i went straight up and tried to cut the thickest branch, i was little struggling, but to my surprise a passerby came to help me with it. I happily said thank you and he smiled and good luck with your gardening. i came home and put them in a water and rolled up my  sleeves to get the pots ready, i filled the pot with sand, gravel, and mud, and planted the cuttings. and put in the sunny-est spot of the garden.after a few weeks finally a tiny little leaf shot up and weeks by weeks a beautiful bougainvillea rose up.. the very first time it flowered...i felt like my life was complete..i took so many pictures of them.. seeing my interest dad brought me vegetable seeds like brinjal and tomato..to be honest they dint come up well.. but they dint dampen my spirits. everywhere i wen,t i bought  little cuttings and put them in a pot.. And after helping mom in the kitchen i realized that i could prepare compost.. my first compost experience was sooo funny. coz i had no idea that it would smell so bad.. but the roses were really pretty and healthy. and then slowly i spent more time on plants and still trying to figure out ways to manure them. but the lust for flowers never ends.. where ever you go.. you always got an eye for them.. and day by day i just want to get better at it.  💮🥀❁⚘
